D&T online twilight courses
Our online twilight courses, delivered by former senior examiners, are designed to help teachers to improve the examination performance of their students in Design and Technology. Each course covers an aspect of the assessment that students typically find challenging and gives methods of addressing them that are proven to work in the classroom.

These are short, bitesize courses containing strategies that can be implemented immediately in the classroom. Each course comes with a free resource that can be used with students the next day.

The below courses are pilots that we are delivering for the first time.
Regular price: £50 per twilight person, special discounted pilot rate of £30.
Each session also inlcudes up to £39 worth of free resources as a bonus for taking part in the pilot!

Twilight 1
How to boost pupil attainment in GCSE D&T exams

This twilight session will enable you to help your students perform better in their GCSE D&T examinations by understanding exactly what is required of them.
By the end of the session you will understand the typical command verbs used in examination questions, their meaning and how to answer different types of questions that use them.

Improving pupil performance in GCSE D&T maths questions

This twilight session will enable you to help your students improve their attainment by better addressing the mathematics based questions within the GCSE D&T examination.
You will learn about the different mathematics concepts covered by the specifications, examples of questions that use them and how to answer them.

How to use AfL to boost pupil attainment in GCSE D&T

This twilight session will enable you to help your students improve their attainment by using assessment for learning (AfL) strategies in the classroom.
You will learn about effective use of self and peer assessment, and how this can be used to ensure success in controlled assessment tasks.
